Process Enabled Prospecting (PEP)

Description: Did you ever wish that you could control what data fields appeared on a contact page? Have you ever dreamed about controlling what data fields appeared on a contact page based on what View you (or others) were using??? If you could, just imagine all the great things you could do…. One view could be used for qualifying prospects, another for follow-up, another for matured contact leads, and on and on!!! Well, now you can. SalesJunction calls these capabilities “Process Enabled Prospecting”, or “PEP” for short. Here’s how it works:

First, determine which users will be PEP “Creators” and/or “Workers”. Go to Setup – Users & Accounts – Users
PEP - 1

Next, select a user and click “Edit” at bottom of page.

PEP - 2

At the bottom of the selected user’s settings area, you will see options to select Creator, Worker, or Both

PEP - 3

Creator: A user who is permitted to create PEP pages and associate with views.

Worker: A user who is permitted to use PEP pages.

Both: A user who is permitted to function as both a Creator and Worker for PEP pages.

Now, in the role of a PEP creator, let’s construct a PEP page and associate with it with a View(s).

PEP - 4

As you can see, this user already has created a number of PEP pages.  We will create a new page to present only several key pieces of contact information about a contact.

PEP - 5

Upon clicking on “New Template”, you will be presented with a choice of 3 template formats for your PEP page:

PEP - 6

We select 3 and click Next.

PEP - 7

Note that the required fields “Account ID” and “Contact Name are defaulted to the template and cannot be deleted, but may be moved.  Now you simply click and hold on a field from the Field List on the left hand side, drag and drop any field to the desired area of your template.

Here’s what our example looks like:

PEP - 8

Once you like what you’ve created, enter a name for the PEP page (Essentials in the example) and click “Save”

The newly created PEP page now appears in your list:

PEP - 9

Lastly, associate the PEP page with any of your Views and share them with other users!  Be sure to click “Save” when your selections are complete!  You can add PEP pages, change sharing, and change PEP Page/View associations as often as desired!

PEP - 10

Let’s see what happen when we utilize a PEP page from a View named “MassChange”:

PEP - 11

To access the PEP page associated with the Contact View you are using, simply click on the “PEP” icon to the left of the desired contact.  The icon looks like a Tag.  In this example, we will click on the PEP icon for Morgan, Rhoda.

PEP - 12

You should recognize the PEP page fields and layout from our earlier example.  Just enter data, click “Save” and you’re on your way to Process Enabled Prospecting!
